CONTAMINATION FREE CHANGABLE FILTERBOX

This safe-change filterbox (FIBO)

(Patent pending) was developed for isolators and gloveboxes where highly active substances are handled.

The innovative filterbox FIBO, in addition to the optimal retention protection quality and high air throughput, provides for a contamination free filter change, without special protective procedures for the technician.

PROCESS APPLICATIONS

The FIBO is especially suited for the containment of :

• Airborne particles of highly active substances (cytotoxic/CMR-medical materials)
• Live vaccines of viral or bacterial basis

PROCESS SECURITY

The filter change is simple, quick and performed by one person, without special protective clothing. This represents, in addition to a higher comfort level for the worker, but also major time savings.

The process chamber and the FIBO remained closed by filter changing. The "safe change" procedure, directly on the process chamber saves investment intensive CIP systems for the return air ducts.

REMOVAL

The filterbox is safely changeable directly from the work area. Therefore, there is no contamination risk for the room. For this reason the opposite is with Bag-in/Bag out systems, which must be located in the technical area. For easy disposal, the FIBO can be completely incinerated. The FIBO is sized so that it fits through the opening of the ovens for disposal of special waste. With the elimination of wet cleaning, the high operational costs of the incineration of contaminated water are eliminated.
